Apprenticeship: Information Communications Technician Level 3 Apprenticeship
Location: East Grinstead
Salary: £24,000 - £25,000 per annum
Hours: Full-time
Kick-start your IT career as a Service Desk Apprentice. This is an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience providing technical support, troubleshooting IT issues and delivering excellent customer service while working towards a nationally recognised apprenticeship qualification.

Requirements
- Passion for IT and technology
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Good problem-solving ability and willingness to learn
- Organised with strong attention to detail
- Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team
- Good IT literacy and a proactive approach
- GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths preferred
Responsibilities for an Apprentice
- Provide first-line technical support via telephone, email and monitoring systems
- Respond to incidents and service requests within agreed service levels
- Log, prioritise and accurately update support tickets
- Troubleshoot technical issues and resolve where possible
- Escalate more complex issues to senior team members
- Keep customers updated on the progress of incidents and service requests
- Maintain customer documentation relating to hardware, software and system configurations
- Accurately record time entries and update support tickets
- Deliver excellent customer service at all times
Apprenticeship Information
You will be enrolled on the Information Communications Technician Level 3 Apprenticeship, typically completed over 18 months. This includes:
- Regular workplace-based learning supported by your training provider and line manager
- A minimum of 6 hours per week of off-the-job training
- Development of skills, knowledge and behaviours aligned to the apprenticeship standard
- Completion of a portfolio and end-point assessment
- Functional Skills support in English or Maths if not previously achieved at Level 2
Prospects
Once you have completed your apprenticeship there will be the opportunity to potentially progress into a permanent role within the business, continuing your career within IT Support and Service Desk operations.
