Role: Technical Writer

Location: Remote with ad hoc visits to Welwyn, UK and Basel, Switzerland

Hours: Full-time

Pay: 350 - 400 per day PAYE basic (excluding holiday pay) or .75 per day UMB/LTD

Contract: Until the end of December 2026 - Outside IR35

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Technical Writer to join one of our longstanding global pharmaceutical clients on a contract basis until the end of December 2026, outside IR35.

This role will focus heavily on documenting SOPs, operational workflows and internal processes, supporting the transition to a scalable and centralised documentation framework.

The Requirements:

• Previous experience writing and maintaining SOPs and operational documentation
• Strong understanding of documentation governance and process management
• Experience within pharmaceutical, healthcare, life sciences or technical environments
• Excellent written communication and stakeholder engagement skills
• Strong attention to detail and ability to simplify complex processes
• Experience working across multiple teams and managing competing priorities
• Familiarity with documentation systems, shared repositories or documentation-as-code practices advantageous

The Role:

• Create, review and maintain SOPs and operational documentation
• Document workflows, policies and business processes across multiple functions
• Work closely with SMEs to gather and structure technical information
• Standardise documentation templates and formatting
• Ensure documentation is accurate, compliant and easy to follow
• Maintain and update central documentation repositories and policy hubs
• Support process improvement and governance initiatives
• Contribute to the development of a scalable "One Source of Truth" documentation framework
