London | 6+ Month Contract | £400/day (Inside IR35)

We're looking for an Automation Chapter Lead to join a Tier 1 Bank on a long-term contract in London. This is a key role, driving automation across customer and operational processes to deliver efficiency, accuracy, and great experiences for both customers and colleagues.

The Role

As Automation Chapter Lead, you'll provide strategic technology leadership in automation, guiding Engineers and shaping the standards, tools, and practices that underpin automation platforms. You'll collaborate closely with Enterprise Architects, Automation SMEs, and senior stakeholders to set the vision, lead delivery, and ensure engineering excellence across Dynamics 365, Power Platform, and beyond.

This role goes beyond technical leadership, you'll mentor and grow your chapter, establish best practice, and champion a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and deliver the technical vision and roadmap for automation platforms.
  • Collaborate with architects and SMEs to build customer-focused automation solutions.
  • Set standards and best practice, mentoring and guiding colleagues across the engineering community.
  • Lead by example in agile delivery, ensuring high-quality outcomes and alignment with business priorities.
  • Manage technical debt, risks, and platform upgrades, presenting business cases to senior stakeholders.

About You

You're a seasoned technology leader with a strong engineering background and a proven track record in automation. You combine deep technical expertise with the ability to inspire, mentor, and influence teams and stakeholders.

Essential Experience:

  • A proven background in automation and software engineering.
  • Expert knowledge of Dynamics 365 CE, Azure PaaS, .NET, Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI), DocuSign, and other automation tools.
  • Strong background in agile delivery and engineering excellence.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools including Jira, Confluence, SonarQube, and Azure DevOps.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to mentor and build high-performing teams.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
