SC Cleared IT Engineer - Bristol - £19.33 per hour Umbrella
We are currently recruiting for an SC Cleared IT Engineer to join a leading IT service provider based in Bristol
Role Overview
You will provide deskside support for incidents and service requests, working within a Wintel environment. The role includes hands-on support for HP laptops and desktops, including break-fix hardware troubleshooting, as well as supporting a wide range of end-user technologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide deskside support for incidents and service requests
- Diagnose and resolve hardware issues (HP laptops and desktops)
- Support Windows 10/11 and Microsoft Office Suite
- Assist users with Skype and mobile technologies (Apple & Android)
- Build, configure, and troubleshoot desktops and laptops
- Ensure all tickets are updated and resolved within agreed SLAs
- Support and guide team members as a Lead Engineer
- Work closely with remote Team Leaders and wider support teams
- Follow and improve existing processes and procedures
- Contribute to knowledge base documentation and continuous improvement initiatives
Key Skills & Experience
- Proven experience in incident and request management
- Strong technical knowledge of Microsoft Windows environments
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain technical issues to non-technical users
- Ability to work independently and proactively, using initiative where required
- Experience supporting mobile technologies (Apple & Android)
- Familiarity with hardware troubleshooting and break-fix support
- A collaborative mindset with the ability to build relationships across teams
Security Clearance
- Must hold active SC Clearance
- Willingness and ability to undergo DV Clearance is required
