Senior Front End Engineer - ColdFusion/CFML (Contract)
Remote UK | 3-4 Days Per Week | Initial 3 months (Potential Extension)

I'm working with an established organisation looking for a Senior Front End Engineer contractor to help modernise an enterprise SaaS application.

You must have strong commercial experience with ColdFusion/CFML, alongside solid Front End development skills across JavaScript, jQuery, HTML, CSS/SCSS.You must also have hands-on commercial experience using OpenAI Codex or similar AI coding agents within a development environment.

The role will focus on improving an existing platform, building reusable components, supporting design system improvements, improving accessibility and helping modernise the application incrementally.

Key experience:

• ColdFusion/CFML development
• Experience using OpenAI Codex or similar AI coding agents
• JavaScript, jQuery, HTML, CSS/SCSS
• Design systems and reusable components
• Storybook or similar tools
• Accessibility and automated testing
• Experience working with established/Legacy applications

This is a pragmatic modernisation role not a full rewrite. We are looking for someone who can work effectively with an existing codebase and deliver improvements quickly.

Remote UK-based, 3-4 days per week.
