Senior Network Engineer (Cisco CCIE Low Latency Trading) London to £150k
Do you have expertise with Cisco networking within low latency trading environments?
You could be progressing your career at a highly profitable, systematic Hedge Fund that invests in sports betting markets whilst enjoying a range of perks and benefits.
As a Senior Network Engineer you will take a lead role in a global, low latency, network redesign to modernise existing systems and improve latency dependant systems for traders. You'll be hands-on designing, deploying and troubleshooting the global network infrastructure, implementing optimisations to build low latency networks that support trading teams' activity.
You'll take ownership of projects and collaborate with a team of highly skilled engineers as well as business stakeholders, continually learning, assessing new technologies and making recommendations within a flat structure.
Location / WFH:
You'll be based in fantastic offices in a vibrant area of London with in-house gym and steam room, games room with pool tables and dart boards, library and free high quality catering (breakfast, lunch, dinner) from the onsite chef with flexibility to work from home once a week (please note that during probation you will be required onsite five days a week).
About you:
- You have expertise with network design and engineering within a Cisco environment
- You have a strong knowledge of Palo Alto firewalls, SD-WAN, MPLS, BGP, multicast, TCP/UDP
- You have experience within Capital Markets / trading systems requiring ultra low latency
- You're commercially aware and keen to understand the business impact of what you do
- You have excellent communication, collaboration and problem solving skills
- You are CCIE certified
- Ideally you will have an interest in sports with an understanding of betting
