AWS Platform Engineer - Remote - Urgent!

Cloud Consulting have an urgent requirement for an experienced AWS Platform Engineer to join a high-profile project for a leading company.

The role falls inside of IR35 and is fully remote.

Key Responsibilities

• Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Provision and manage AWS infrastructure using Terraform and CloudFormation.
• CI/CD: Design, build, and maintain pipelines with Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI.
• Containers & Orchestration: Deploy and manage workloads using Docker and Kubernetes (EKS).
• Automation & Scripting: Develop automation solutions with Python, Bash, or Go.
• Security & Compliance: Implement IAM policies, manage secrets (Secrets Manager, Vault), and ensure best practice.
• Monitoring & Logging: Configure and maintain monitoring/observability using CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, and AWS CloudTrail.
• Cost Optimisation: Monitor and optimise AWS resource usage to drive efficiency.

Core Skills & Tools

• Strong AWS experience (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, ECS, EKS, Route53, IAM, CloudWatch)
• Proficiency in Terraform and/or CloudFormation
• CI/CD with Git-based tools
• Containerisation with Docker & Kubernetes
• Scripting with Python/Bash
• Security-first mindset in regulated environments
