Presales Architect: Microsoft Copilot and Modern Work

The Pre-Sales Architect: Microsoft Copilot and Modern Work exist to lead the technical shaping, design, and articulation of AI and Modern Work transformation through the Microsoft stack, with a strong emphasis on Copilot, agentic AI, security, compliance and governance.
You will be helping customers unlock real business value from AI Productivity embedded within Microsoft 365, including Copilot experiences across productivity, collaboration, security, and business processes.
A core part of your role is ensuring AI solutions are built on strong data, security, and governance foundations, leveraging Microsoft Purview, Entra, and the wider Microsoft security stack.
Where customers are still to migrate and onboard fully to Microsoft 365, you will help with designing and scoping the migration and adoption of key services such as Office 365 Mobility & Security, Endpoint Management (Intune), SharePoint and Entra ID.
This role acts as a trusted technical advisor to customers, partnering closely with sales to translate business challenges into secure, scalable, and commercially viable AI solutions, while ensuring alignment with Cloud Direct capabilities, Microsoft best practices, and responsible AI principles.
What You’ll Do:
- Partner with Sales Executives and Account Directors to qualify, shape, and progress opportunities, with a primary focus on Copilot-centric and agent-based solutions.
- Translate customer business problems into scalable agentic AI solutions that improve productivity, decision making, and automation.
- Lead the technical design and architecture of AI and Modern Work solutions across the Microsoft stack, including:
- Microsoft Copilot Studio, Foundry & Power Platform
- Microsoft 365 Modern Work (Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, Viva)
- Microsoft Entra ID and Purview for data security, compliance, and governance
- Ensure AI solutions are designed with appropriate security, data governance, compliance, and responsible AI considerations.
- Act as the technical authority in customer meetings, workshops, and executive briefings, clearly articulating AI value, risk, and governance.
- Lead the creation, iteration and completion of Proposals and Statements of Work.
- Collaborate closely with delivery teams to ensure smooth transition from sale to implementation.
- Act as a trusted advisor to customers and internal stakeholders.
- Contribute to Cloud Direct’s AI, Copilot, and Modern Work propositions, reference architectures, and technical sales assets.
- Support Microsoft led motions including Copilot accelerators, AI workshops, co-sell, and funding engagements.
What We’re Looking For:
- Proven experience in a pre‐sales, solutions architect, or technical consultancy role within cloud or Microsoft services.
- Strong technical understanding of Microsoft AI and Modern Work capabilities, including:
- Microsoft Copilot (M365 and beyond)
- Azure OpenAI and agentic AI patterns
- Microsoft 365 Modern Work workloads
- Microsoft Purview and information governance
- Ability to design AI solutions that balance productivity, security, compliance, and commercial viability.
- Solid understanding of identity, data, and security considerations in enterprise AI and M365 environments.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, including executive‐level AI storytelling.
- Strong commercial awareness and experience supporting opportunity qualification and solution shaping.
