Hybrid working from Milton Keynes 1 to 2 days per week plus customer travel as required

Company & role

This is a high growth IT services business operating at the top end of the cloud and managed services market. Backed by private equity and scaling fast, they have built a genuinely slick, well structured sales organisation with clear processes, strong leadership and a reputation for doing things properly.

This role sits within a high performing sales team and is designed for someone early in their sales career who wants to learn how good looks. You will be given a small number of existing customer accounts and be responsible for expanding spend into white space, supported by senior account managers, sales leadership and a wider commercial team.

Why This Role Stands Out

This is not a sink or swim role. You will be surrounded by experienced, successful sales people who are invested in developing talent and sharing best practice. The business takes training, structure and coaching seriously, so you will learn how to sell cloud services the right way.

You are not expected to be the finished article. You are expected to be curious, organised and hungry to improve. The commission plan is simple and transparent, with realistic targets and strong upside as you grow your accounts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and grow a portfolio of existing customer accounts
  • Identify and develop white space opportunities across cloud and IT services
  • Build relationships with multiple stakeholders within customer organisations
  • Work closely with senior account managers and sales leaders to learn best practice
  • Maintain accurate account plans, pipeline and forecasts
  • Develop your sales skills through coaching, feedback and exposure to complex deals

Ideal Experience

  • 1-2+ plus years experience in a sales or account management role, ideally within IT services, MSP or technology
  • A genuine interest in cloud services and how businesses use them
  • Strong organisation skills and attention to detail
  • Confidence speaking with customers and asking the right questions
  • Coachability and a desire to learn from high performing sales professionals
  • Ambition to progress into a more senior sales role over time
  • This is a brilliant entry point into a serious sales organisation. If you want to learn from people who know how to win, build a proper foundation in account management and earn well while you do it, this role will set you up properly.
