This is a senior leadership hire within a growing, well established cloud solutions provider that is expanding its enterprise and strategic customer base. The business is investing heavily in its ability to win and deliver complex, multi service cloud engagements and sees presales as a critical function in that journey.

You’ll step in to lead and evolve a presales function that already has solid foundations, including a team of six solutions architects. The focus now is scaling capability, improving consistency, and elevating the impact of presales across the business.

This is a true player coach role where you will shape strategy, support major bids, and act as the technical authority across complex cloud solutions, with a clear bias towards private and hybrid cloud.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop a presales and solutions architecture team of six across the UK and North America
  • Take ownership of the most strategic, high value opportunities and lead from the front
  • Act as the senior solution authority across complex, multi tower engagements, particularly across private and hybrid cloud environments
  • Partner with Sales to shape opportunities early rather than reacting to late stage requirements
  • Drive consistency and quality across all presales outputs, ensuring they are commercially and operationally sound
  • Work closely with Digital Transformation and Delivery teams to ensure solutions are achievable and aligned
  • Contribute to the development of productised services, pricing strategies, and service catalogue evolution
  • Act as the bridge between presales, service architecture, and delivery teams

Ideal Experience

  • Proven experience leading presales or solutions architecture teams within a cloud solutions or service provider environment
  • Strong background designing and selling private and hybrid cloud solutions across technologies such as VMware, Nutanix and enterprise data centre platforms
  • Good knowledge of desktop virtualisation and DaaS, disaster recovery, IaaS and PaaS environments
  • Solid grounding in backup and data recovery solutions, storage platforms, and infrastructure security
  • Broad understanding of modern enterprise technology landscapes, including Microsoft cloud, as part of a well rounded technical background
  • Hands on mindset with the ability to dive into detail when needed
  • Confident engaging with both technical teams and senior stakeholders or executives
  • Commercially aware with a strong understanding of how solutions translate into real world delivery
