Role Summary
My client is looking for a D365 CE DevOps Engineer to take ownership of CI/CD pipelines, release automation, and infrastructure for Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement. This role blends DevOps know-how with Power Platform expertise to keep development, testing, deployment, and monitoring running smoothly across all environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for Dynamics 365 CE in Azure DevOps .
- Automate solution exports/imports, environment setup, and configuration deployments across dev, test, and prod.
- Hook up source control ( Git ) for managed/unmanaged solutions and custom components.
- Work closely with developers, functional consultants, and solution architects to keep delivery smooth and efficient.
- Manage Power Platform CLI , PAC tooling, and Azure DevOps YAML pipelines.
- Own release management, including rollback plans and deployment schedules.
- Make sure infrastructure and deployments meet security, compliance, and governance standards.
- Keep an eye on system health, troubleshoot issues, and implement fixes before they become problems.
- Create documentation, deliver training, and share knowledge across the team.
- Stay sharp on Microsoft platform updates and the latest DevOps tools/tricks.
Required Skills & Experience
- Solid hands-on experience with Dynamics 365 CE / CRM (online or on-prem).
- Comfortable with Azure DevOps Pipelines, Repos, Artifacts, Boards.
- Experience managing source control for Power Platform solutions, including Git branching strategies .
- Know your way around Power Platform CLI , Solution Packager, and ALM best practices.
- Strong scripting skills PowerShell , YAML , and ideally some Azure CLI .
- Good understanding of Dataverse , custom connectors, and integrations.
- Experienced in deploying managed and unmanaged solutions across environments.
- Familiar with Microsoft licensing, environment setups, and API limitations.
- Comfortable working in agile/scrum teams and keeping delivery moving smoothly.
Desirable Skills
- Experience with other components of the Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps, Power BI).
- Familiarity with Azure services (Functions, Logic Apps, Key Vault, Application Insights).
- Microsoft certifications (e.g., PL-400, AZ-400, MB-600).
