Senior Workday Consultant - Reporting and Integration Specialist

Hybrid Set Up (3x a Month - either consecutively or spread out)

One of my leading clients in the manufacturing industry is looking for a Senior Workday Consultant to permanently join their Workday team to help design, develop, and maintain Workday reporting and integrations, ensuring seamless business processes and delivering high-quality solutions for HR functions. This role offers the chance to work on complex projects, improve system functionality, and contribute to the continuous evolution of the organisations Workday environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, development, and maintenance of Workday reports , including Advanced, Matrix, Composite, and Dashboard reports.
  • Design, configure, and support Workday integrations using EIB, Core Connectors, Document Transformation, and Web Services (SOAP/REST).
  • Create and manage calculated fields, custom objects, and complex business logic to meet reporting and integration requirements.
  • Collaborate with HR, Finance, Payroll, and IT teams to understand requirements and deliver scalable solutions .
  • Participate in release and upgrade activities , including testing, implementation, and maintenance of Workday functionality.
  • Ensure data accuracy, report performance, and compliance with security standards .
  • Support users through technical troubleshooting, guidance, and resolution of escalated HRIS queries .
  • Identify system enhancements and process improvements; research and implement solutions leveraging Workday best practices.
  • Maintain clear documentation of configurations, processes, and integrations .
  • Stay current with new Workday features and adoption opportunities to maximize the systems value.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 4+ years of hands-on experience with Workday reporting and integrations.
  • Strong expertise in Workday Report Writer, Calculated Fields, Dashboards .
  • Proficient with Workday Integration tools , including EIB, Core Connectors, Document Transformation, and Web Services (SOAP/REST).
  • Experience designing and supporting integrations with third-party systems (HR, Payroll, Finance).
  • Solid understanding of Workday business processes across HCM and Financials.
  • Experience working in global or multi-location organisations .
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders .
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality outcomes .
  • Discretion and integrity in handling confidential employee data .

Desirable Skills

  • Experience in Workday Prism, Adaptive Insights, or other reporting/analytics tools .
  • Knowledge of security configuration and role-based access management in Workday.
  • Familiarity with change management and process improvement methodologies .
  • Experience mentoring or guiding junior Workday specialists.
  • Ability to work proactively within a team and independently , demonstrating initiative.
  • Strong organisational and stakeholder management skills, with a solutions-oriented mindset .
