I'm working with a client who's looking for a System Accountant with solid experience in Microsoft Dynamics 365. It's a key role within the finance team, focused on maintaining, developing, and optimising financial systems to ensure everything runs efficiently, accurately, and in line with regulations.

What they're looking for:

  • Strong, hands-on experience with Microsoft D365 is essential. If you haven't worked with D365 before, this isn't the right role for you, experience with other systems alone be considered.
  • Ideally part-qualified or fully qualified (ACCA, CIMA, ACA) with practical experience in system implementations and financial reporting tools
  • Background in a retail or multi-site environment
  • Proven track record of administering and improving ERP platforms and accounting software
  • Confident communicator, able to work effectively with senior leaders and wider teams
  • Motivated, resourceful, and comfortable working independently or collaboratively
  • Able to build strong relationships and bridge the gap between finance and technology

What you'll be doing:

  • Lead D365 implementation from a finance perspective
  • Set up and optimise financial controls and system configurations
  • Act as the link between finance and technology, ensuring both sides work seamlessly together
  • Administer and develop ERP and accounting systems
  • Review current processes, identify improvements, and implement changes to drive efficiency
  • Maintain accuracy and compliance of financial data
  • Find opportunities to reduce manual work and streamline workflows
  • Provide technical support and training to the finance team
  • Support custom reporting and system enhancements
  • Map financial processes to system functionality
  • Identify and present business cases for improvement initiatives
