Clyde Ventures' key service offering is technology-driven Salesforce implementation. As part of our wider growth and diversification strategy, Clyde Ventures has now forged a new partnership with Rootstock Software which provides powerful Cloud ERP Software on the Salesforce platform for the Manufacturing and Supply Chain sector. As a result, we are now looking to appoint a highly skilled Sales Manager with experience of selling ERP or Software solutions to these particular markets.

Job Description:

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing strategic relationships with key decision makers to drive sales growth, and expand our market presence. Reporting into the Chief Commercial Officer, this role offers an excellent opportunity for a motivated professional to utilise their expertise in B2B sales within a fast-paced environment, contributing significantly to organisational success.

Duties:

  • Develop and implement regional sales strategies aligned with company objectives.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within target markets and the manufacturing and engineering industry sectors.
  • Manage and nurture relationships with key decision makers, clients and partners.
  • Speak with and meet with key decision makers to sell ERP solutions and achieve monthly targets.
  • Analyse sales data and market trends to inform decision-making and optimise performance.
  • Utilise Salesforce CRM to track sales activities, forecast revenue, and manage pipelines.
  • Conduct presentations and negotiations with prospective clients both online and in person.
  • Partner with marketing and product teams to tailor offerings to customer needs.
  • Devise and create tailored, solution based proposals to deliver against each customer requirement.
  • Monitor competitor activities and market developments to maintain competitive advantage.

Essential/Ideal experience & background

  • Proven track record (3+ years) in B2B sales of ERP or enterprise software solutions.
  • Demonstrable experience selling into manufacturing and/or engineering industries ideally with an existing network within manufacturing or engineering sectors.
  • Experience selling specific ERP platforms (e.g., SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, Oracle, or similar).
  • An understanding of manufacturing processes (e.g., MRP, supply chain, production planning and shop floor control).
  • Experience managing complex, consultative sales cycles with multiple stakeholders.
  • History of meeting or exceeding sales targets and revenue quotas.
  • Solid knowledge of ERP systems and how they integrate across business functions (finance, operations, procurement, inventory, etc.).
  • Ability to translate technical functionality into business value for clients.
  • Familiarity with industry-specific challenges such as lean manufacturing, compliance, traceability, and cost control and awareness of current trends in digital transformation and automation within manufacturing/engineering sectors.

  • Strong consultative selling and solution-based approach.
  • Skilled in pipeline development, lead generation, and account management.
  • Ability to identify customer pain points and align ERP solutions accordingly.
  • Experience preparing and delivering high-impact presentations, proposals, and product demonstrations.
  • Strong negotiation, closing, and contract management skills.

Relationship Management

  • Ability to build and maintain long-term client relationships at C-level and operational levels.
  • Strong stakeholder management across technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Experience working collaboratively with pre-sales, delivery, and product teams.
