Founding Principal Engineer
About Us: We're a startup attached to an established scale-up specialising in the commercial optimisation of technology spend. We are building a B2B SaaS platform that helps customers better understand and optimise their supplier spend in an ever increasingly technology driven and cost-constrained world.

The Role: This is a true 0-to-1 founding engineering role. You'll work directly with the founding team to build and ship v1, owning the hands-on delivery across the full stack. You'll contribute to and own key decisions around architecture, technology choices, security, and product direction.
AI-native from day-one, you will have autonomy to define and build the optimum tooling setup.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Build and ship v1 end-to-end - frontend, backend, and infrastructure using modern technologies
- Translate product requirements into technical decisions and architecture alongside the founding team
- Establish the engineering foundations - security, tooling, CI/CD, documentation - that the team will scale from
- Deliver AI/LLM-driven product features from the outset
- Product and data security inherently built into the product from day one
What We're Looking For:
- Strong full-stack experience across modern web technologies
- Proven 0-to-1 delivery - has shipped real B2B SaaS product end-to-end
- Hands-on AI/LLM integration experience in production environments
- Comfortable owning architectural decisions and operating with autonomy
- Security-first mindset and multi-tenant data isolation experience
- Tech lead or founding engineer experience is a strong plus
