Data Engineer
Role: Data Engineer Location: West Midlands - Hybrid 3 days per week in office Salary: £45,000 to £53,000
A leading organisation is looking for a Data Engineer to join its IT & Data team on a permanent basis. This role involves supporting and developing data systems, analytics solutions, and reporting infrastructure across the business.The company have a very friendly and supportive atmosphere.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build and maintain data warehouses and data models
- Develop and optimise ETL/ELT pipelines
- Support reporting, analytics and business intelligence solutions
- Work with internal stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver data solutions
- Troubleshoot data issues and implement long-term fixes
- Maintain documentation and monitor system performance
- Collaborate with third-party software providers and support integrations
Required Skills & Experience
- Strong SQL Server knowledge, including query optimisation
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric and Power BI
- Experience in ETL/ELT
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
- Experience supporting business data systems
- Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical users
Desirable
- Experience with EDI formats
- Knowledge of Jet Reports or Microsoft PowerApps
- UAT/testing experience
