ServiceNow Solution Architect
About the Role
Are you a strategic thinker with a deep technical mastery of the ServiceNow platform? We are looking for an experienced ServiceNow Solutions/Technical Architect to lead complex, enterprise-scale implementations.
In this role, you will bridge the gap between business requirements and technical execution. You will be responsible for delivering sound, high-level technical designs, guiding agile delivery teams, and steering the platform architecture roadmap for significant £5M+ n-tier implementations. Key Responsibilities
- Architectural Leadership: Act as the lead Solution Architect on complex, large-scale n-tier implementations (valued at £5M+).
- Design & Delivery: Create and deliver robust high-level technical designs (HLDs) and architecture deliverables to software project management teams working within SDLC, SCRUM, and Agile methodologies.
- Strategic Roadmap: Provide expert advice, governance, and guidance regarding the maintenance and evolution of the enterprise architecture roadmap.
- Integration & Development: Lead the design of complex integrations utilizing Data Sources, REST/SOAP APIs, and Integration Hub while ensuring strict adherence to ServiceNow best practices.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner effectively with stakeholders in professional services, financial services, or public sector/regulated environments.
Required Skills & Experience
- Platform Expertise: 5+ years of hands-on experience on the ServiceNow platform, spanning architecture, administration, development, and support.
- Core Modules: Excellent command of ITOM Discovery, ITSM, and CMDB modules.
- Platform Basics: Deep understanding of ACLs, UI policies, Client scripts, UI actions, Business rules, Workflows, Flow Designer, and Mid Server configuration.
- Technical Chops: Strong expertise in JavaScript and building best-practice integrations.
- Architecture Methodologies: Proven experience using standard architecture methodologies and tools (eg, TOGAF, EA Sparx, RSA, etc.).
- Industry Background: Prior experience working as an Architect within professional services, financial services, or public sector/highly regulated environments.
Desirable/Bonus Skills
- Exposure to SecOps modules, particularly Security Incident Response (SIR) and Vulnerability Response.
- Experience with HR Service Delivery (HRSD) is highly advantageous.
