Description
The Business Analyst (BA) plays a crucial role in ensuring a thorough and common understanding of the business’s needs to inform the design of technical and non-technical solutions to deliver on these objectives in a timely manner. The BA is involved in all phases of change delivery through initial scoping and planning, through process and requirements analysis, solution design, testing and implementation.
Key Responsibilities
- Stakeholder identification, engagement and management
- Scope definition and management
- Assessment of impacts and risks of a change on people, processes and technology
- Identifying and planning the business analysis activities required
- Current and future state analysis / process mapping
- Elicitation, documentation and management of requirements
- Alignment of the solution to the business requirements / feasibility assessment
- Support of testing and operational readiness activities
Requirements of role:
- Gather, analyse, and document business and functional requirements across multiple banking initiatives.
- Work collaboratively with business, operations, fincrime, compliance, technology, and delivery teams to define optimal solutions.
- Facilitate walkthroughs with key stakeholders.
- Create and maintain clear process maps, data models, and business flows using standard BA techniques.
- Produce high‐quality requirements documentation, including user stories and acceptance criteria.
- Manage requirements throughout the delivery lifecycle, including prioritisation, approvals, and change control.
- Ensure end‐to‐end traceability between business requirements, solutions, and delivered outcomes.
- Align proposed solutions with business needs, banking products, operational processes, and regulatory context.
- Support delivery teams operating in both agile and waterfall methodologies.
- Work on multiple projects simultaneously, balancing priorities and dependencies effectively.
- Use tools such as Jira, Confluence, Miro, Figma and MS Office to manage documentation and collaboration.
- Assist with operational readiness activities, including process updates and implementation support.
- Effective use of AI in day2day activates, help to improve the efficiencies
Qualifications:
- Preferred: Industry recognised Business Analysis certification (BCS, IIBA)
- Required: Business analysis experience in a Financial Services environment
