We at Coforge are looking for Senior Performance Test Engineer in Edinburgh, UK.

Flexible hybrid working available - to be considered for this position you must be within commutable distance to either office, as you may be required to attend the office at short notice.

We're looking for an experienced Senior Test Engineer to join us to help deliver non-functional test activities across Insurance and Money Services.

The Role

  • You will engage and collaborate on the design and development of non-functional requirements and own the delivery of testing to help ensure that we deliver solutions that are resilient and performant for the end users.
  • Actively influence design and delivery activities, providing advice and guidance to colleagues on all aspects of performance and operational acceptance testing.
  • Engage with business and technical stakeholders to agree scope, objectives and acceptance criteria.
  • Identify, manage and report issues, risk, dependencies and actions to relevant stakeholders.
  • Recommend innovative and creative methods for testing
  • Test Engineers work closely with Software Engineers, Dev Ops Engineers and Product Owners on everyday challenges

Essential Criteria

  • Experience of various testing tools such as LoadRunner, JMeter, Gatlin etc.
  • Hands of experience of APM tools
  • Skilled at driving out non-functional requirements from technical and business stakeholders
  • Skilled in volumetric analysis and workload modelling
  • Able to apply risk-based approach to test scoping, planning and execution activities
  • Able to solve technical problems across multiple technology domains
  • Understand and experience of agile working practices and continuous integration of NFT
  • Ability to effectively prioritise work
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage business and technical stakeholders at all levels

  • Improve quality; Analyse user stories & requirements to assess the soundness of proposed solutions; Embed quality across feature teams to develop sophisticated solutions that are fit for purpose.
  • Use Bank quality standards to develop test plans, scenarios, cases and reports.
  • Achieving Bank quality standards through Implementing testing processes and techniques to develop Test Plans and Scenarios and Cases
  • Deliver using domain knowledge and a risk-based approach; Deliver non-functional tests.
