Key Responsibilities

1. Client & Stakeholder Management

Act as the primary point of contact for multiple clients.

Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders.

Manage expectations, escalations, and ensure customer satisfaction.

2. Project Delivery

Plan, execute, and deliver projects within scope, timeline, and budget.

Manage multiple projects/clients simultaneously.

Ensure adherence to delivery frameworks like Scrum (software development framework) or hybrid models.

3. Testing & Quality Assurance Oversight

Leverage strong testing background to ensure quality deliverables.

Oversee test strategy, planning, execution, and defect management.

Work closely with QA teams to ensure high standards of quality.

4. Airline Domain Expertise

Understand airline systems such as reservations, ticketing, departure control, and loyalty programs.

Apply domain knowledge to drive effective solutions and client discussions.

5. Team Leadership

Lead cross-functional teams (Dev, QA, BA).

Mentor team members and ensure high performance.

Coordinate between onshore and offshore teams.

6. Risk & Issue Management

Identify risks early and drive mitigation plans.

Handle escalations and ensure timely resolution.

7. Reporting & Governance

Provide regular status reports to clients and leadership.

Track KPIs, SLAs, and project metrics.

Conduct governance meetings and reviews.

Required Skills

Core Skills

• Strong project management experience (8–15 years)
• Excellent communication and client-facing skills
• Experience managing multiple clients/projects

Testing Expertise

• Solid background in QA/testing (manual/automation)
• Experience in test management tools like Jira, HP ALM (Application Lifecycle Management), or Azure DevOps

Domain Knowledge

• Experience in airline/travel domain (preferred clients like British Airways, Air Lingus, etc.)

Methodologies

• Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid delivery models
• Familiarity with Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) is a plus

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/IT or related field

Certifications preferred:

• PMP / PRINCE2
• Agile certifications (CSM, PSM)

Experience

• 10+ years of IT experience
• 5+ years in Project/Program Management
• Strong experience in onshore client engagement roles
