Run tests, look for issues, document what you find, and work closely with developers and analysts to verify fixes. Your work is hands‐on, practical, and essential to maintaining a smooth release process.
Responsibilities
- Analyze requirements and create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test cases.
- Execute manual test cases and document results.
- Identify, record, and track bugs using tools like JIRA, Bugzilla, or similar.
- Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and resolve issues.
- Perform regression, functional, integration, and system testing.
- Participate in test planning, estimation, and status reporting.
- Ensure compliance with QA standards and best practices.
Qualification & Technical Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- 1–2 years of professional testing experience or a strong foundation through internships, training, or project work.
- Experience working in Agile teams.
- Strong understanding of software testing methodologies and QA processes.
- Experience with test case creation and execution.
- Familiarity with defect tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, Mantis).
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
