Principal ML/AI Engineer

6 Month Rolling Contract

Fully Remote / Outside IR35

We're looking for a Principal ML/AI Engineer to lead the productionisation of AI and machine learning solutions. This role focuses on taking models and LLM-powered applications from development into scalable, secure, and observable production environments.

What you'll be doing

• Build and maintain production ML/AI systems across the full MLOps lifecycle.
• Deploy and optimise LLM applications, inference APIs, and AI platforms.
• Drive best practices for CI/CD, model monitoring, retraining, and AI governance.
• Provide technical leadership across MLOps, AI architecture, and engineering standards.

What we're looking for

• 4+ years' Data Science experience and 2+ years' consulting experience.
• Proven experience delivering AI/ML solutions into production.
• Strong Python, MLflow, Azure ML, and Databricks Mosaic AI experience.
• Expertise in LLM productionisation, MLOps, CI/CD, monitoring, and model serving.
• Good understanding of GDPR, AI governance, and the EU AI Act.
• Databricks DPP vetting and relevant Azure/Databricks certifications are highly desirable.
