Microsoft Business Applications Pre-Sales Consultant

Overview

We're looking for an experienced Microsoft Business Applications Pre-Sales Consultant to join a growing practice focused on delivering transformational solutions across the Microsoft ecosystem.

This role will focus on helping organisations modernise and optimise business processes through Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement (CE), Dynamics 365 Business Central (BC), and Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (F&O). Working closely with sales, delivery and architecture teams, you will engage with customers to understand business challenges, shape solution strategies, deliver demonstrations and support the full pre-sales lifecycle.

The successful candidate will combine strong Microsoft Business Applications expertise with excellent client-facing skills and the ability to articulate technical solutions in a commercially compelling way.

Key Responsibilities

• Partner with sales and account teams to qualify and shape new business opportunities.
• Conduct discovery workshops, requirements-gathering sessions and stakeholder interviews.
• Build trusted relationships with prospective and existing customers.
• Design and deliver engaging demonstrations across Dynamics 365 CE, Business Central and Finance & Operations.
• Lead solution design discussions and support customers in defining transformation roadmaps.
• Develop proof of concepts and showcase the value of Microsoft Business Applications solutions.
• Produce solution proposals, statements of work, project estimates and responses to RFPs, RFIs and ITTs.
• Translate business requirements into scalable Microsoft-based solutions.
• Present technical and functional concepts to both business and executive audiences.
• Collaborate with Solution Architects and Delivery Teams to ensure a seamless transition from sales to project delivery.
• Support marketing and demand-generation initiatives including webinars, workshops, industry events and customer roundtables.
• Contribute to the development of solution offerings, accelerators and best practices.

Required Skills & Experience

• Proven experience in a Pre-Sales Consultant, Solution Consultant, Functional Consultant or similar client-facing role.
• Strong functional expertise in at least one of the following, with broader Microsoft Business Applications knowledge being highly desirable:
• Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement (CE)
• Dynamics 365 Business Central (BC)
• Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (F&O)
• Experience delivering customer workshops, solution demonstrations and business process discovery sessions.
• Strong understanding of the Microsoft Business Applications landscape.
• Experience producing proposals, commercial responses and solution documentation.
• Excellent stakeholder management and presentation skills.
• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Experience building business cases and articulating measurable business value.
• Strong commercial awareness and consultative approach.

Desirable Skills

• Solution Architecture experience within Microsoft Business Applications environments.
• Knowledge of the Microsoft Power Platform, including Power Apps, Power Automate and Power BI.
• Exposure to Microsoft Copilot and AI-driven business solutions.
• Experience with Azure integration services and Logic Apps.
• Familiarity with Dynamics NAV and legacy Microsoft ERP platforms.
• Experience working within manufacturing, supply chain, warehousing or logistics environments.
• Experience with Business Central ISVs, including:
• Continia
• Tasklet WMS
• Insight Works
• Dynaway
• Jet Reports
• Cosmos Reporting
