Project Management Degree Apprenticeship - Level 6

A Level 6 Project Management Degree Apprentice is required. As an apprentice you will spend your time within the business unit applying for and be motivated to work with others in the business, demonstrating our values of Care, Share and Dare. You will have the opportunity to learn and develop your skills and to work towards membership of professional bodies in one of our many disciplines. Duties include: developing in-depth understanding of all areas which are key to managing a project e.g. costs, resources, risks etc.

Role

You will become integral in supporting our project leads and technical teams in all matters associated with the planning and management of our Signalling & Telecoms rail projects. 

You will gain a sound understanding of the different elements involved in delivering a project at Colas Rail and you will be supported by a team who will guide and support you. 

You will:

- Develop an in-depth understanding and knowledge of project planning
- Develop in-depth understanding of all areas which are key to managing a project e.g. costs, resources, risks etc.
- Work on multiple projects both in the office and on site where the work is taking place
- Work with different team members to understand the importance of their roles
- Work to problem-solve issues and challenges
- Build confidence to share your ideas and challenge the norm.

Training

  • During your apprentice scheme you will be learning on the job and from the training provider to learn the more advanced skills of your technical specialism.
  • You will support Lead Engineers, Supervisors and Team Leaders to deliver high value contracts for our customers and they will support you throughout your journey.
  • Upon completion of your apprenticeship you will receive Project manager (integrated degree) (level 6) qualification and gain professional membership to the professional organisation chosen during the scheme.
  • Training and training location to be confirmed.
  • On successful completion of the Project Manager Apprentice Programme, there will also be the option to become chartered in this field.
  • You will be an integral part of our Future Leaders and Talent process mentoring others.
  • Your career will be full of opportunities to advance which includes international rotation within the wider group.
