Junior Software Developer (Coleraine)

About the Role

We are looking for a Junior Software Developer to join our growing IT team in Coleraine. This role is ideal for someone early in their career with a passion for full stack development, problem-solving, and creating efficient digital solutions to support internal operations and enhance customer service.

You will be involved in developing and maintaining internal tools, customer-facing systems, and business automation processes. Working in a small, close-knit team, you'll have hands-on involvement across the full software lifecycle from planning and coding to deployment and maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Develop and support internal web-based applications to improve workflow, ticket management, and customer service operations.
• Build and maintain back-end services using C# (.NET MVC/Core) and SQL Server .
• Create responsive, mobile-friendly front-end interfaces using JavaScript and Angular .
• Automate routine processes and reporting tasks to improve team efficiency.
• Support customer portal development and system integrations (e.g., CRM, invoicing, diagnostics).
• Participate in team planning sessions and provide feedback on solutions and improvements.
• Use Azure DevOps (or similar tools) for version control and deployment pipelines.

Requirements

Essential:

• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Experience with C# , .NET , and JavaScript frameworks (e.g., Angular).
• Familiarity with SQL databases and building RESTful APIs.
• Ability to create user-friendly, responsive UI components with HTML and CSS.
• Knowledge of Git and version control systems.
• Clear communication and willingness to work collaboratively.
• Strong attention to detail and self-motivation.
