Analytics Engineering Lead

I am working with a market leading consultancy in central London, who due to high level success already and expansion of their, offering are adding to their highly skilled team. This is an exciting time to join where the business is really looking to scale and has big plans for its team and the wider business.

I am seeking an exceptional Engineering Lead within Analytics to lead high-performing teams at the crossroads of data engineering, analytics, and real-world business impact.

This role offers the chance to step in to a key role in the business to lead and scale a team, shape the architecture, culture, and strategy of a modern analytics ecosystem , driving innovation, scalability, and measurable outcomes across the business. You'll combine people leadership to empower teams and build solutions that deliver lasting value as well as strong technical acumen.

You will bring a background of working with different types of projects at one time and adaptable in leading teams and upskilling those around you.

In this role, you will:

  • Lead, mentor, and inspire analytics and data engineering teams, fostering technical excellence and a culture of innovation.
  • Drive continuous improvement in orchestration, schema design, transformation, and automation processes.
  • Translate complex technical insights into strategic recommendations that inform business decisions and performance.
  • Architect and optimise ELT pipelines and workflows using dbt, Airflow, SQL, and Python.
  • Oversee the design and evolution of large-scale analytics platforms and data warehouses (Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift).
  • Ensure best practices in governance, modelling, data quality, and scalable system design.

You'll thrive if you are able to bring:

  • Bring 5+ years of experience in analytics and data engineering, with proven leadership within technical teams.
  • Excel at developing teams, driving process optimisation, and championing collaboration between data and business functions.
  • Are passionate about data governance, quality, and enabling smarter, insight-led decision-making across the organisation.
  • Coming from a consultancy background and/or working on various projects and clients would be very advantageous
  • Demonstrate deep expertise in data pipeline architecture, schema design, and transformation frameworks.
  • Have strong proficiency across cloud-based data platforms and scalable infrastructure.
