Business Development Associate

Hybrid London role (3 days office / 2 days home) - Central London

About the Role

Our client is an AI-enabled fintech expanding in the UK lending market. We are looking for a motivated junior Business Development professional with experience selling into the mortgage lending sector. This role supports the growth of their flagship technology product by generating leads, building early client relationships, and helping progress opportunities through the sales cycle.

Key Responsibilities

  • Learn the product offering and support the end-to-end business development process — from prospecting and outreach to preparing proposals and assisting with deal progression.
  • Build and nurture relationships with contacts across UK mortgage lenders, brokers and financial institutions.
  • Research the market, identify target clients, and support campaigns that generate new opportunities.
  • Collaborate with senior team members on presentations, demos, and client meetings.
  • Maintain accurate pipeline information and contribute to a positive client experience.

What We're Looking For

  • Ideally 2–3 years of sales or business development experience within the UK mortgage lending industry (e.g., lenders, brokers, mortgage technology providers, credit bureaus, or related fintechs).
  • Strong communication skills, confidence engaging with stakeholders, and a proactive, learning-oriented mindset.
  • An understanding of how technology is used in lending operations is beneficial but not essential.
  • Self-starter with good organisational skills and the ability to work independently in a fast-growing environment.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
