The Role
As a Front End Software Engineer, you will:
Build and maintain high-quality, scalable web applications using React.js, JavaScript, TypeScript and modern web technologies
Develop intuitive and engaging user interfaces that deliver exceptional user experiences
Work with frameworks and libraries such as React, Next.js and similar modern technologies
Integrate applications with APIs, databases and cloud-based services
Collaborate with back-end developers to deliver seamless client-server functionality
Develop new features and enhancements across customer and internal platforms
Ensure software quality through automated, integration and unit testing
Participate in Agile ceremonies including daily stand-ups, sprint planning and retrospectives
Troubleshoot, debug and resolve application issues
Contribute to code reviews and technical discussions
Drive improvements across development tools, processes, architecture and documentation
Work closely with Business Analysts and stakeholders to transform requirements into effective solutions
Essential Skills & Experience
Minimum 3 years' commercial experience with React.js
Strong knowledge of JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML and CSS
Experience working with modern frameworks such as:
React.js
Next.js
Blazor
Experience integrating and consuming third-party and internal APIs
Understanding of Azure cloud services
Experience working with SQL databases
Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and automated testing practices
Experience using API testing tools such as:
Postman
Swagger
Similar API validation platforms
Familiarity with Agile methodologies including Scrum and Kanban
Good understanding of UX/UI principles and best practices
Ability to translate complex business requirements into intuitive user-focused solutions
Desirable Skills
Experience with any of the following would be advantageous:
Laravel
C#
Knockout.js
ServiceNow
