We’re hiring a Java Backend Engineer for a large-scale banking programme based in London. This role is ideal for engineers who enjoy hands-on development and working within established microservices environments.

💼 What You’ll Be Doing

• Building and enhancing backend services using Java & Spring Boot
• Developing and integrating RESTful APIs
• Working as part of a collaborative agile team to deliver features end-to-end
• Troubleshooting, debugging, and supporting production deployments

🧩 What You’ll Bring

• Strong hands-on experience with Java (9+)
• Proven expertise in Spring Boot / Spring Framework
• Experience with REST APIs and microservices architectures
• Ability to work effectively within existing systems and standards

➕ Bonus Experience

• Previous banking / financial services background (ex-LBG a plus)
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Docker, cloud platforms
• Exposure to event-driven systems
