Senior CCH Tagetik Test Lead / QA Lead

Location: Horsham / Hybrid

Type: Contract

We are seeking an experienced Senior CCH Tagetik Test Lead to join a high-profile finance transformation programme. This role is ideal for a hands-on QA/Test professional with deep experience in CCH Tagetik testing and strong knowledge of financial consolidation, FP&A, and enterprise finance systems.

You will lead end-to-end testing activities across Tagetik implementations and enhancements, working closely with Finance SMEs, Functional Consultants, Developers, and Integration teams to ensure successful delivery across SIT, UAT, regression, and release cycles.

Key Responsibilities

Test Strategy & Planning

• Define and own the overall testing strategy, test plans, and QA approach for Tagetik implementations and enhancements
• Lead SIT, UAT, regression, and patch validation activities
• Review business, functional, and technical design documentation to ensure appropriate test coverage and traceability

Functional & Data Testing

• Validate financial logic within Tagetik including:
• Consolidations
• Allocations
• Intercompany eliminations
• Currency translation
• Journals
• Perform data reconciliation and variance analysis between source systems, Tagetik, and downstream reporting platforms
• Validate Planning, Budgeting, Forecasting, and Reporting outputs against defined business rules

Test Execution & Defect Management

• Design and execute detailed functional, integration, regression, and negative test scenarios
• Manage defects end-to-end using defect management tools, ensuring timely resolution and retesting
• Coordinate closely with development and integration teams throughout the defect lifecycle

UAT Leadership

• Lead and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) cycles
• Facilitate test walkthroughs, defect triage meetings, and business sign-offs
• Produce test metrics, status reports, dashboards, and sign-off documentation for stakeholders and leadership teams

Continuous Improvement & Automation

• Identify opportunities for test automation and regression optimisation within Tagetik environments
• Contribute to QA best practices, reusable testing assets, templates, and standards

Stakeholder & Team Management

• Act as QA/Test Lead across Tagetik engagements
• Mentor junior testers and coordinate offshore/onshore QA resources
• Collaborate with Finance SMEs, Functional Consultants, and Integration teams to ensure release readiness

Required Experience & Skills

Essential

• 10+ years of QA / Testing experience
• Strong hands-on experience testing CCH Tagetik solutions
• Experience testing EPM / CPM platforms
• Strong understanding of:
• Financial Consolidation
• FP&A
• Budgeting & Forecasting
• Financial Reporting
• Close & Consolidation cycles
• Experience leading SIT/UAT activities in enterprise environments
• Strong defect management and test governance experience
• Data validation and reconciliation experience using SQL/data extracts
• Excellent stakeholder communication and facilitation skills

Desirable

• Exposure to automation testing tools
• Performance testing experience
• Experience working within Agile delivery environments
• Consulting or Big 4 delivery experience
