Senior IT & Cybersecurity Engineer, Manage Engine, SentinelOne, 365, AD, 2 Months, Somerset, £Good

We are looking for a hands-on Microsoft & Cybersecurity Engineer, providing expert support, troubleshooting, and guidance across both areas. You will act as a technical escalation point for cyber analysts and Microsoft engineers, providing guidance to colleagues. This is expected to be for a period of 8 weeks, working hours of Monday to Friday, with the customer located in Somerset.

The Role:

• Support and manage Microsoft 365, Entra/Azure AD, Exchange, Active Directory, and hybrid environments

• Administer Windows workstations (7, 10, 11) and Windows Servers (2008 R2 - 2025)

• Manage endpoint security and monitoring tools including SentinelOne and Secureworks/Taegis (SIEM)

• Oversee endpoint and server patching across the organisation

• Troubleshoot complex technical issues and follow them through to resolution

• Conduct research to resolve unfamiliar problems or escalated issues

• Provide guidance and act as a technical escalation point for cyber analysts

The Person:

• Strong experience in the Microsoft ecosystem (365, Exchange, AD, AD sync, on-premises and cloud environments)

• Hands-on experience with Windows Servers and workstations

• Familiarity with ManageEngine Central, SentinelOne, and SecureWorks/Taegis (SIEM)

• Solid understanding of cybersecurity principles and endpoint protection

• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills, with the ability to take ownership of issues and drive them to resolution.
