NetSuite Technical Consultant

My client, a leading international FMCG group, is seeking an experienced NetSuite Technical Consultant to design, develop, and implement tailored solutions within our NetSuite ERP environment. This role acts as the technical bridge between business requirements and system execution, ensuring scalable architecture, seamless integrations, and high system performance across NetSuite and connected platforms such as Workday and other enterprise systems.

This is a permanent role and remote working will be available.

Key Responsibilities

Custom Development & Configuration

• Design, build, and maintain NetSuite customisations using SuiteScript (1.0 and 2.0/2.1) and SuiteFlow workflows
• Develop scalable and maintainable enhancements aligned with business requirements

Systems Integration

• Design, implement, and support integrations between NetSuite and third-party applications
• Work with REST/SOAP APIs and data formats such as JSON and XML
• Support and enhance middleware-based integrations (e.g., Boomi) and direct custom integrations

Technical Design & Architecture

• Translate complex business requirements into technical specifications and solution designs
• Produce architectural documentation and integration blueprints

Reporting & Analytics

• Develop and maintain advanced Saved Searches, SuiteAnalytics workbooks, and financial reports
• Support data extraction, transformation, and reporting requirements across teams

Troubleshooting & Optimisation

• Diagnose and resolve script errors, integration issues, and system performance bottlenecks
• Lead performance optimisation initiatives, including refactoring legacy scripts and improving system efficiency

Release & Change Management

• Manage deployment of customisations across Sandbox and Production environments
• Ensure controlled releases with minimal disruption and maintained data integrity
• Use tools such as Jira and Azure DevOps to track development, testing, and release activities

About You

Experience & Technical Skills

• 5+ years of hands-on NetSuite technical development experience
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript and the SuiteCloud platform
• Solid understanding of relational databases and SQL
• Experience working with APIs, integrations, and middleware platforms (e.g., Boomi)
• Experience managing complex data imports and system integrations

Certifications (Preferred)

• NetSuite SuiteCloud Developer Certification and/or NetSuite Administrator Certification

Soft Skills

• Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
• Experience working collaboratively with Finance teams, Functional Consultants, and Support teams
• Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on system stability and scalability
