Pre-sales consultant - Finance/Tax tecnology
My client, a leading provider of digital finance regulatory, and tax technology solutions is looking to hire a Pre-sales Consultant. The company offers a range of products that support organisations to streamline complex reporting requirements through a modern, data-agnostic automation platform, with their client base including financial institutions, multinational groups, and large enterprises that require accuracy, efficiency, and greater control over their reporting processes.
Role OverviewThe Pre-Sales Consultant will play a key role in guiding prospective customers through their evaluation journey by showcasing the platform’s capabilities. Working closely with sales, product, and implementation teams, this role will gather client requirements, design tailored solutions, and clearly articulate the value of the company’s technology. This role's contribution will be instrumental in driving sales outcomes and building client confidence in the platform.
Key Responsibilities- Partner with the sales team to understand client goals, technical needs, and operational challenges.
- Deliver engaging product demonstrations, workshops, and proof-of-concept sessions to highlight platform functionality.
- Convert complex regulatory, tax, and reporting requirements into clear and effective solution designs.
- Provide technical input into RFP and RFI responses, including solution architecture and platform explanations.
- Develop bespoke solution proposals aligned with client requirements and the company’s implementation methodology.
- Act as a subject-matter expert on data ingestion, automation, reporting workflows, and system configuration.
- Maintain a strong understanding of the product roadmap and communicate new features and enhancements to prospects.
- Serve as a link between pre-sales and delivery teams to ensure a smooth handover from solution design to implementation.
- Contribute to sales collateral, demo environment improvements, and ongoing product positioning.
- Accounting or tax qualification.
- Foundational understanding of accounting principles, regulatory requirements, and tax concepts.
- Basic SQL skills, with the ability to think logically and design technical solutions.
- Strong troubleshooting skills for technical issues.
- Proven ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder-management skills.
- Comfortable engaging with senior stakeholders across finance, tax, compliance, and technology teams.
- Strong analytical skills and a problem-solving mindset.
- Experience working with structured data, integrations, or data transformation (desirable).
- Knowledge of tax reporting, regulatory reporting, or finance operations (advantageous).
