Job summary
Are you an organised and experienced administrator with a strong understanding of data and information systems? We are looking for a Data and Administration Team Leader to join our team and play an important role in supporting the delivery of effective services for children, young people, families and partner organisations.
You will provide professional information, advice and support to managers and staff, helping to maintain effective information systems and excellent customer service. You will be responsible for the production, analysis and reporting of data, supporting local and national reporting requirements and contract monitoring.
You will also manage and develop management information systems, support data quality, produce performance reports and help colleagues make effective use of electronic systems. The role also includes leading and supporting an administrative team, including supervision, development and day to day deployment.
Working closely with colleagues across Compass and external partners, you will help ensure information is accurate, accessible and managed appropriately, while maintaining confidentiality and discretion at all times.

Main duties of the job
We are looking for someone with experience of working in a busy administrative environment, with strong skills in data, reporting and information systems. You will have experience of producing and analysing statistical data using databases and spreadsheets, alongside strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Word and Excel.
You will have experience of managing and supervising others, organising meetings, producing reports and working with sensitive service user information. You will be confident communicating with colleagues, customers and external partners and able to build positive working relationships.
You will need GCSE English Language and Maths or equivalent, an NVQ Level 3 in Business Administration or equivalent, and a Level 3 IT qualification or equivalent experience.
You will be organised, reliable and able to manage competing priorities and deadlines. You will also understand data protection, safeguarding and equality and diversity, with a commitment to maintaining confidentiality and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults.

Person Specification
Qualifications
- English Language and Maths - GCSE A C or equivalent qualification
- NVQ level 3 Business Administration or equivalent
- Level 3 IT Qualification/Training in Word, Excel and Microsoft Office Packages or equivalent experience
Experience
- Systems:
- Experience in dealing with phone calls and email enquiries
- Experience of inputting and producing statistical data and reports on databases and spreadsheets
- Experience in Microsoft Office Packages, Word, Powerpoint, and Excel
- Experience in providing support to others based in different locations
- Operational:
- Working in a busy office environment where multi-tasking is essential
- Organising, attending and taking minutes of meetings, producing reports, managing and analysing data and service user records
- Liaising with clients/customers via the telephone, email and in person in a busy customer service environment.
- Experience of managing and supervising others within a team.
Additional Criteria
- Computer packages including Microsoft Office
- Understanding of the Data Protection legislation and how to manage data
- Understanding safeguarding issues relating to children, young people and vulnerable adults
- Understanding of Equality and Diversity legislation and guidance
- Ability to fulfil the full range of duties and responsibilities in different venues including working from home, office, outreach and community locations.
- Working to deadlines and managing multiple projects/tasks
- Handling sensitive and confidential information and maintain discretion and confidentiality
- Driver with access to a vehicle or ability to travel efficiently to different locations across Coventry.
- Ability and willingness to adopt a flexible approach to occasionally working outside normal office hours at different venues if required.
