About the role:

C omplete classroom service is seeking a committed Data Manager to support and enhance the Management Information Systems (MIS) and data solutions used by our client schools.

The Data Manager will be responsible for ensuring the consistency, accuracy, integrity, and security of academic data, while developing and maintaining databases, reporting systems, and integrations with third-party platforms. The role also includes staff training and end-user support.

This role is fundamental to supporting schools in raising standards and improving outcomes.

The Successful Candidate Must:

  • Have experience using Bromcom, SISRA, ALPS or similar MIS packages
  • Possess up-to-date knowledge of school performance data
  • Have advanced Excel skills
  • Present complex information clearly and effectively
  • Be an excellent communicator with strong interpersonal skills

Main Responsibilities

Data & Reporting

  • Ensure accuracy and integrity of school data within Bromcom and other MIS systems
  • Manage user access, permissions, and security
  • Analyse performance data and provide reports for senior leaders and governors
  • Support with school census submissions and statutory reporting
  • Produce clear, accurate reports to support school improvement

Systems Management

  • Maintain MIS platforms and associated software (e.g., SISRA, ALPS)
  • Deliver staff training and support in data use and reporting
  • Manage end-of-year processes, system updates, and transitions

Curriculum & Timetable Support

  • Oversee option processes, class allocations, and course management
  • Ensure accuracy of sixth form programmes and qualification aims
  • Support timetabling and course changes

Other Duties

  • Keep abreast of developments in school data systems and regulations
  • Safeguard sensitive information and comply with data protection requirements
  • Support safeguarding practices by ensuring accurate student data management

Person Specification

Essential

  • GCSE Maths & English (Grade C/4 or above)
  • Strong IT skills (MS Office, MIS systems e.g., Bromcom, SIMS)
  • Excellent communication, organisation, and time-management skills
  • Ability to analyse and present high-level data
  • Experience working within administration or data management
  • Commitment to confidentiality and professional integrity

Desirable

  • Experience working in a school environment
  • Knowledge of Google Apps for Education
