IT Technician

We are currently recruiting for an IT Technician on behalf of a leading manufacturing business in the Keighley area.

This position will serve as first point of contact for the day-to-day maintenance of the IT infrastructure at the local site and also a remote site in Bedford - occasional travel to Bedford will be required.

The successful candidate will have a demonstrable background working in a similar role with strong skills in diagnosing both hardware and software faults.

Hours - Mon - Thursday (Apply online only) / Friday (Apply online only)

Candidates must have a Full UK Driving License and access to their own vehicle.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Serve as 1st point of contact for IT Support in the organisation
• Install, Configure and Maintain software and hardware components of computer and network systems.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot software and hardware issues.
• Repair and replace damaged computer and network components.
• Ensure the security of client and server computers by assessing vulnerabilities and utilising patch management tools, install and upgrading antivirus and firewall software.
• Maintain and update technical documentation regularly

Qualifications and Experience

• Demonstrable experience working in a previous similar role. 
• Strong technical knowledge of both software and hardware.
• Ability to add value, reduce costs and advice on business improvements.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities.
• Resilient, self-motivated, and able to work well under pressure.
• Technical mindset with a background in IT.
• Full UK Driving License and own vehicle,.
