- Shape the technology roadmap and create architectural guardrails that support business expansion and operational efficiency
- Design cloud foundations and service models that extract maximum value from existing Microsoft platform investments
- Transform the data landscape by creating unified approaches to information management across disconnected applications and legacy environments
- Define connectivity strategies and service integration patterns that eliminate system silos and improve interoperability
- Facilitate technical design reviews, ensuring solutions meet quality, security, and compliance standards without bottlenecking delivery
- Partner with executive stakeholders to articulate technology decisions in commercial terms with clear benefit realisation
- Build technical capability within engineering teams through coaching on contemporary architecture practices and cloud paradigms
- Institute financial discipline for cloud consumption through optimisation strategies and cost governance models
- Substantial architecture experience serving regulated industries such as professional services, financial institutions, or compliance-driven sectors
- Must-have experience in own end-to-end Data Enterprise Architecture - from hands-on data modelling and logical/physical schema design, through data integration and connectivity strategies, to strategic roadmap planning and enterprise-wide data capability development.
- Expert-level understanding of Azure capabilities, including foundation architecture, infrastructure patterns, and platform services
- Deep knowledge of Microsoft identity platforms (Entra ID), authentication frameworks, and collaboration suite administration
- Demonstrated success with information architecture, including governance models, data quality initiatives, and cross-system integration challenges
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft analytics ecosystems (examples: Synapse Analytics, Fabric, Data Factory, BI platforms)
- Track record engaging C-level audiences and converting technical strategies into business outcomes
- Understanding of compliance obligations and operational risk in regulated environments
