Job Title: Head of Data Engineering & DevOps
Job Type: Contract (Initial 6 month contract)
Rate: Up to £900/day (inside IR35) - DOE
Working Arrangement: Hybrid (3 days on-site per week)

As the Head of Data & DevOps, you will:
- Lead the design and delivery of scalable, secure, and resilient data and software platforms, predominantly within the Microsoft ecosystem (Azure, Fabric, Power BI, Synapse, Databricks, Purview).
- Shape and execute Grosvenor's enterprise data strategy, embedding governance, quality, compliance, and secure data practices to enable advanced analytics, AI, and data-driven decision-making.
- Drive modern engineering practices, including DevOps, DataOps, DevSecOps, and automation, to accelerate delivery while ensuring security and compliance.
- Provide hands-on leadership to a core London-based team and manage offshore delivery partners, fostering a culture of technical excellence and collaboration.
- Partner with senior stakeholders to translate emerging technologies into measurable business value, aligning with Grosvenor's strategic priorities.
- Define and lead the technical strategy and roadmap for data, DevOps, and AI platforms, ensuring operational excellence and continuous improvement.
- Champion a product-centric approach, cultivating an intelligent data culture and driving organisational change.
Experience/Skills Required:
Technical Expertise:
- 8+ years in senior technology roles with a proven track record in architecture, engineering leadership, and platform delivery.
- Deep knowledge of Azure services, Kubernetes, Azure DevOps/GitHub Enterprise, and Microsoft's data ecosystem.
- Expertise in designing platforms for AI/ML and advanced analytics.
- Strong security-by-design mindset with experience in DevSecOps, Data SecOps, and regulatory compliance (eg, GDPR).
- Background in observability, SRE practices, and modern engineering methodologies (DevOps, DataOps).
