Network Engineer
- Up to £40,000 + excellent benefits package
- Hybrid - 3 days on-site per week
- Central London
- Taking ownership of customer tickets, triaging, troubleshooting and resolving issues while delivering clear and timely communication
- Meeting and exceeding customer SLAs through effective incident and problem management
- Supporting senior engineers with the planning and implementation of project work and network changes
- Monitoring network performance, identifying issues and proactively suggesting configuration improvements
- Performing software/firmware upgrades and executing changes via formal change control (CRQs)
- Contributing to vulnerability management and security best practice
- Developing scripts and automation to streamline repetitive tasks
- Maintaining accurate asset records and support documentation
- Solid experience as a Network Engineer (2–5 years) ideally within a managed service provider or large enterprise environment
- Hands-on knowledge of multi-vendor platforms including Cisco (CCNA level or working towards CCNP), Fortinet, Juniper or similar
- Strong foundational understanding of routing, switching, firewalls, network topology and the interaction between physical, virtual and cloud layers
- Proven troubleshooting skills and a logical, methodical approach to problem-solving
- Some exposure to scripting/automation (Python, Ansible or similar) is highly advantageous
- Good working knowledge of IT security concepts and change control processes
- Excellent communication skills and a genuine customer-service mindset
- Relevant certifications (Cisco CCNA, CompTIA Network+, Fortinet NSE 4/5, JNCIA etc.) or a clear commitment to achieving them
