Job Summary:
Our client, a leading global financial services firm, is seeking a Platform Engineer to join their Platform Engineering Team. This role focuses on commissioning, maintaining, and managing bespoke business applications across test environments while supporting DevOps practices and continuous deployment pipelines.

you'll work collaboratively across technical teams to deploy and manage systems, automate operations, and troubleshoot issues within multiple environments. This is a hands-on technical role requiring strong system administration skills, Scripting expertise, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, innovation-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, configure, and support business applications across functional, non-functional, and user acceptance test environments
• Build and manage CI/CD pipelines for continuous integration and deployment across development, testing, and production environments
• Monitor and troubleshoot multiple environments, including operating systems, Middleware, and applications
• Manage development toolchains, including Atlassian suite (JIRA, Confluence, Bamboo, BitBucket) and version control systems
• Automate infrastructure and processes using Scripting languages (Python, PowerShell, Bash) and configuration management tools
• Coordinate with third-party suppliers, engineering teams, and project managers on deployment verification and technical issues
• Create documentation and develop methods to measure the efficiency of products and processes

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years of IT experience with Windows Server (2012/2016/2019) and Linux (Red Hat) system administration
• Database knowledge, including SQL Server and Oracle, with an understanding of performance monitoring and maintenance
• Experience with web Servers (IIS, Apache Tomcat), Active Directory, DNS, and networking fundamentals
• Proven CI/CD and DevOps experience using tools like Bamboo/Jenkins, BitBucket/GitLab, and Agile methodologies
• Strong Scripting skills in Python, PowerShell, Bash, or similar languages
• Configuration management experience with Ansible, Puppet, or Chef (Ansible Tower preferred), plus virtualization (VMware) and containers (Docker/Kubernetes/Kafka/Openshift)
• Excellent communication and troubleshooting abilities with a customer focus and ability to work under tight deadlines
