We are recruiting on behalf of our key client, a cutting-edge solutions provider based in Central London, for an experienced and creative UX/UI Designer to join their Product Development team on a permanent basis.

This is an excellent opportunity for a designer who is passionate about user-centred design and wants to work on meaningful digital products in a collaborative, cross-functional environment.

Overview of the Role

As a UX/UI Designer within the IP Development team, you will design intuitive, accessible, and visually engaging digital experiences across a range of platforms. You will translate user and business needs into effective design solutions, ensuring a consistent and high-quality user experience across all products.

Working closely with Product Managers and Engineers, you will help shape user journeys, refine requirements, and ensure that design solutions are both user-centred and technically feasible. You will apply and extend established design systems to maintain consistency, whilst also elevating the visual quality of the platforms.

You will work with early-stage concepts and prototypes generated through modern tooling such as Lovable and Figma Make, refining and evolving these into high-quality, production-ready designs. You will also use emerging tools to enhance visual design, including generating graphics and assets that help the platforms feel polished, engaging, and distinctive.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and deliver user-centred interfaces, including wireframes, mock-ups, user flows, and interactive prototypes, primarily using Figma
  • Collaborate closely with Product Managers and Engineers to refine requirements and shape user stories
  • Apply and work within established design systems and UI frameworks, ensuring consistency across all products
  • Ensure designs are accessible, responsive, and aligned to best practices, including WCAG standards
  • Participate in design reviews, workshops, and iterative feedback sessions to improve solutions
  • Support user research, usability testing, and analysis of user feedback to inform design decisions
  • Translate complex requirements into simple, intuitive user experiences
  • Maintain clear and well-organised design documentation to support effective development handoff
  • Refine and evolve early-stage concepts and prototypes into production-ready designs
  • Use modern tooling to generate and enhance visual assets, such as graphics, illustrations, and UI elements, to improve the overall look and feel of products
  • Contribute to making platforms more visually engaging and distinctive whilst maintaining usability and consistency
  • Where appropriate, contribute to shaping how new capabilities are introduced into the user experience

Essential Candidate Skills Required:

  • Demonstrable experience in UX/UI design and user-centred design principles
  • A portfolio showcasing interface design, user journeys, and visual design capability
  • Proficiency with modern design tools, in particular Figma
  • Experience working with established design systems or UI frameworks such as Material Design, MUI, or Carbon
  • Understanding of responsive design and accessibility best practices, including WCAG
  • Strong visual design skills, with the ability to create engaging, polished interfaces
  • Ability to balance creativity with consistency and usability
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within cross-functional teams spanning Product and Engineering
  • Strong communication skills and openness to feedback
  • Ability to iterate on designs based on user insights and technical constraints

Desirable:

  • Experience supporting or contributing to usability testing or user research activities
  • Awareness of front-end development concepts such as HTML and CSS, and an understanding of design handoff considerations
  • Experience working with collaboration tools such as Jira and Confluence
  • Experience working with modern design tooling to accelerate prototyping and refine generated outputs into production-ready designs
  • Experience creating or enhancing visual assets such as graphics, UI elements, and imagery, or a strong interest in developing these skills

Why Apply?

  • Join a cutting-edge technology organisation delivering innovative digital solutions from the heart of Central London
  • Work on meaningful, user-facing products with real impact
  • Collaborative, cross-functional environment with strong engineering and product partnerships
  • Flexible hybrid working model
