We are looking for an experienced Cloud/Platform Engineer to support our client in designing, building, and evolving their cloud-based innovation platform, enabling the rapid development and deployment of modern technology solutions.

This role will focus on engineering secure, scalable, and reusable cloud platforms that support innovation initiatives across the business. You will work closely with Architecture, Security, and Product teams to establish cloud engineering standards, design cloud-native solutions, automate deployments, and deliver robust, production-ready platforms.

The successful candidate will have strong hands-on experience across both Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and Microsoft Azure, with a particular emphasis on GCP. This is a multi-cloud environment, and while Azure expertise is essential, candidates should have deeper experience designing, architecting, and implementing solutions within GCP.

You must be able to travel to either the Manchester or London office 1-2 days per week.

Skills overview:

  • Strong commercial experience across Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and Microsoft Azure, with GCP being the primary area of expertise.
  • Proven experience designing, architecting, and delivering secure, scalable cloud solutions within enterprise environments.
  • Experience building cloud environments using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and DevSecOps principles.
  • Proven experience designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.
  • Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and containerised application deployment.
  • Strong understanding of cloud security, identity integration, and enterprise security controls.
  • Experience implementing observability, monitoring, and logging solutions across cloud platforms.
  • Exposure to AI-enabled technologies, automation tooling, and emerging cloud technologies.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to work across technical and non-technical teams.
  • Experience delivering cloud transformation, platform engineering, or innovation-focused initiatives within complex enterprise environments.
