SAP Data Migration Consultant
Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced SAP Data Migration Specialist to support a large-scale SAP ECC6 migration programme. The role will focus on data preparation, cleansing, conversion, loading and reconciliation from a legacy non-SAP system into SAP ECC6 through multiple migration cycles, ensuring business readiness and a successful deployment.
Please note that candidates must hold active UK SC Security Clearance.
Responsibilities
Data Preparation & Cleansing
- Produce and maintain key documentation, including data migration plans, mapping specifications and runbooks
- Support business teams with cleansing legacy system data
- Prepare templates for master and transactional data
Data Extraction & Transformation
- Maintain source-to-target mapping documentation and transformation rules
- Support data transformation activities
Data Migration
- Develop migration test scripts using tools such as LSMW
- Execute migration test loads and troubleshoot data load failures and defects
- Perform dress rehearsals and reconciliations to ensure data quality
Cutover & Deployment Support
- Contribute to cutover planning activities
- Support production data migration execution
- Provide post-deployment support as required
Essential Skills & Experience
- Proven experience delivering data migrations from non-SAP systems into SAP ECC6
- Hands-on experience developing and executing data migration load programs (e.g. LSMW)
- Strong understanding of SAP data objects
- Experience in data mapping, conversion and transformation
- Experience resolving data load defects and migration issues
- Ability to work effectively with functional consultants and business stakeholders
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and organisational skills
- Active UK SC Security Clearance
Desirable Skills & Experience
- Oracle ERP experience
- Experience delivering Oracle-to-SAP migration programmes
- SAP ECC6 functional knowledge
