Location: UK - Remote first, but open to 1 day, twice per month or monthly day in Portsmouth

About the Role

We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Full Stack Engineer to join a collaborative development team working on a complex, integration-focused platform. This is a product-focused role where you will design, build, and maintain scalable, high-performance web applications that support real-time operational workflows.
You will play a key role in shaping system architecture, delivering robust solutions, and supporting critical production systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define system objectives by analysing user requirements and business needs
  • Design and develop web applications using C#/.NET (ASP.NET Core) and modern frontend frameworks
  • Build and maintain RESTful APIs and integration services
  • Contribute to architectural decisions, evaluating technical solutions and trade-offs
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enable system interoperability
  • Troubleshoot development and production issues across multiple environments
  • Support high-availability systems with ongoing maintenance and monitoring
  • Participate in Agile development processes and team discussions
  • Maintain high standards through code reviews, testing, and continuous improvement
  • Provide guidance, mentoring, and technical support to other developers
  • Create documentation and tools to support system usage and maintenance
  • Stay up to date with emerging technologies and best practices


Skills and Experience Required

  • Strong experience with C# and .NET (ASP.NET Core)
  • Proven experience building web applications and REST APIs
  • Experience with React (Angular or Vue also considered)
  • Solid understanding of full stack development principles
  • Experience with cloud platforms (Azure preferred)
  • Exposure to microservices and distributed systems
  • Strong database experience (e.g. SQL Server or equivalent)
  • Familiarity with CI/CD and DevOps practices
  • Strong problem-solving and debugging skills
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to manage priorities and work across multiple projects


Desirable

  • Experience working on integration-heavy platforms
  • Experience supporting production systems with high availability requirements
  • Previous mentoring or leadership experience
