Access Analyst

Location – Edinburgh (Hybrid)

In this position, you’ll be based in the Edinburgh office for a minimum of three days a week, with the flexibility to work from home for some of your working week. If you have a remote location recorded in Fusion this arrangement will continue to be honoured if you are successful in your application, provided that:

The Global Information Security (GIS) team is responsible for driving the development, deployment, monitoring and management of information and cyber security across the Computershare businesses, globally.

Through partnerships with the business units, Technology Services and other support functions, the Global Information Security team actively supports the business objectives whilst reducing the overall composite risk to Computershare.

A role you will love

The Access Analyst is responsible for supporting the operation of the organisation’s user access processes for Computershare’s platforms, systems and applications.

The position will be accountable for ensuring user access to global Computershare resources is delivered and maintained in a consistent manner and in-line with the organisation's overall security strategy, policies, and regulatory requirements.

The Access Analyst will work closely with the GIS Identity and Access Management (IAM) analysts, Global Technology Services Service Desk representatives, and other stakeholders to identify, analyse and mitigate access risks and vulnerabilities.

Additional responsibilities include:

Maintaining and supporting the organisation's global access processes across Computershare platforms, applications and systems.
Using ServiceNow, SailPoint and other IAM systems to review data, troubleshoot issues, and maintain controls.
Helping maintain the integrity of RBAC data by providing guidance to RBAC role owners/approvers, and helping co-ordinate the review of user access within CPU to ensure colleagues have the right access to do their job.
Maintain and update process/control documentation where required.
Prepare information for audit/assurance reviews and MI reporting, along with participating in the support of ad-hoc projects as required.
Liaising with business and technical managers to ensure access management activity is undertaken within the defined timescales.
Working with the second line Global IAM Team and first line Global Service Desk to help manage user access, including RBAC and Joiner, Mover, Leaver (JML) processes.

What will you bring to the role?

The role requires a good understanding of work routines and procedures used to support and administer access management. Operating within defined technical and operational procedures, which require proficient knowledge and awareness to ensure user access is identified and governed according to local and global regulations.

The role requires an understanding of how the wider Global Information Security team and Service Desk work together to successfully achieve team and wider department goals and objectives. With this in mind, we are looking for the successful applicant to hold excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively articulate complex technical terms to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Other skills & experience:

Attention to detail/evaluative judgement based on best practice and previous experience.
Prior experience of co-ordinating and ensuring that quality standards and time constraints are continuously delivered to a high standard.
Experience with tools such as ServiceNow, Active Directory (AD), Entra AD, SailPoint, CyberArk, Okta, or similar.
Knowledge of concepts such as Role Based Access Control (RBAC), Joiners, Movers & Leavers (JML), Identity Governance and Administration (IGA), and Privileged Access Management (PAM).
Familiarity with regulatory requirements and bodies such as GDPR, FCA, HIPAA, and others.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
