Role Overview
We are seeking a resilient and organised individual to provide vital administrative support to our Multi Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH). You will be the first point of contact, answering incoming duty calls from both the public and professionals in a helpful, concise, and professional manner.
In this fast-paced, high-volume environment, you will load time-sensitive contact data, manage sensitive records, triage inquiries, and support safeguarding decisions through meticulous database checks and thorough data gathering. You will play a crucial role in ensuring information is shared accurately and quickly to protect and promote the wellbeing of children and families across Hackney.
Key Responsibilities
- Data Management & Quality: Accurately load and log contact data for children and young people requiring help or protection within agreed timescales. Support system maintenance, data cleansing, and the resolution of system discrepancies.
- Information Scrutiny & Reporting: Conduct thorough database checks across multiple IT systems. Summarise, analyse, and evaluate complex case details to prepare clear, concise reports for managers, external forums, and partner agencies.
- First Point of Contact: Screen incoming duty calls from the public and partner professionals, recording potential safeguarding concerns accurately and escalating urgent risks immediately.
- Multi-Agency Collaboration: Work closely with partner agencies, internal ICT teams, and multi-disciplinary teams to facilitate effective information sharing while strictly adhering to Data Protection policies and confidentiality standards.
- Workload Prioritisation: Manage and plan daily activities effectively, maintaining the capacity to prioritise urgent safeguarding tasks in a demanding environment.
Experience & Technical Skills
- Proven experience in a business support or administrative role, ideally within a MASH, local authority, or similar dynamic, high-volume environment.
- Demonstrable experience using, updating, and maintaining complex information management systems.
- Strong IT literacy, including proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace applications, and database management.
- Fast and accurate data entry skills paired with strong analytical capabilities to spot discrepancies and evaluate information.

Qualifications & Clearances
- Literate and numerate to GCSE level (or equivalent).
- Subject to a satisfactory Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
