Data Protection Administrator

The role reports into the Corporate Information Governance Advisor.

The role will be to:-

Provide advice, support and assistance to the designated lead Data Protection
Officer (DPO) and Corporate Information Governance Adviser (CIGA) on strategic
information governance issues.

Main duties and responsibilities include:
* Provide day-to-day support to the DPO and CIGA which will include
monitoring the DPO mailbox, responding and where appropriate redirecting
queries in a timely manner and bringing relevant items to the attention of the
CIGA & DPO.
* Under delegation from the CIGA:
- be responsible for undertaking the first review of data protection impact
assessment (DPIA) highlighting areas that need more attention or may
not be compliant with the legislation and supporting services to get their
assessments ready for recommendations before sign-off.
* Support the CIGA to develop, adapt, amend or maintain, as necessary,
policies, procedures, training and other measures to ensure compliance with
information governance legislation in force at the relevant time.
* Act as an advisor on strategic information governance issues.

Ideal applicants will have:-

Experience working in data protection compliance or in an
advisory field
Track record of applying subject matter expertise to provide
advice.
Ability to work well under pressure and manage sensitive and
confidential information
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with strong
attention to detail
Great interpersonal skills and ability to work well both
independently and as part of a team

This role is for 1 month initially but could be extended.
