Business Process Architect
Job Description We are seeking a Business Process Architect to join our Group Technology team on a 5-month contract. In this role, you will design, model, and optimise business processes that align with our operating model and strategic objectives. Working closely with Business Architects, delivery teams, and operational stakeholders, you will ensure processes are customer-centric, efficient, scalable, and compliant.We offer a hybrid working arrangement with 1 or 2 days per week in our Manchester office.Key Responsibilities
- Design and document end-to-end business processes across key functional areas, ensuring alignment with the target operating model.
- Collaborate with Business Architects to translate customer and user journeys into detailed process flows and service interactions.
- Develop process models using industry-standard notations (e.g. BPMN),
- Drive process standardisation, simplification, and automation.
- Facilitate workshops and stakeholder engagement sessions to validate process designs and gather feedback.
- Link process designs to application and system architecture
- Support the development of performance metrics and KPIs.
- Maintain a central repository of process artefacts
- Ensure process designs are consistently applied across projects and programmes, supporting architectural coherence and business alignment.
- Act as a subject matter expert in process architecture, providing guidance and assurance throughout the transformation lifecycle.
- Proven experience in process architecture, business analysis, or operational design within large, customer-facing organisations.
- Strong background in regulated industries and/or high-volume sales or service environments.
- Experience designing processes in digitally enabled businesses.
- Demonstrated ability to design and optimise processes at an enterprise or strategic level, supporting large-scale transformation programmes.
- Skilled in process modelling tools and techniques, with proficiency in BPMN or equivalent standards.
- Comfortable working across complex estates with multiple stakeholder groups and delivery streams.
- Experience linking process design to system and application architecture to ensure seamless implementation.
