Commercial Data Analyst

Job Description As part of our newly expanded Connells Group Consultancy team, you’ll be joining a small, experienced group of analysts who use our industry-leading data to produce bespoke and semi-automated reports for clients. Working closely with the Head of Group Consultancy, you’ll help deliver tailored market insight that blends housing market trends with customer behaviour—drawing on the unique position of our estate agency network. You’ll also collaborate with the wider Connells Group & Hamptons Research team to ensure consistency and depth across all outputs.We’re looking for a commercially minded, data-driven graduate with at least 2 years’ experience to join the Connells Group Consultancy team. You’ll help produce client-facing reports that combine housing market data with customer insight, supporting strategic decision-making for clients and business development across the group.This is a unique opportunity to develop advanced analytical skills, gain exposure to a wide range of consultancy projects, and contribute to work that directly influences how clients engage with the housing market.What you’ll be doing:
  • Analyse proprietary and public datasets to produce tailored reports for clients
  • Support the creation of semi-automated reporting tools and dashboards
  • Blend housing market trends with customer insight to deliver commercially valuable analysis
  • Work closely with the Head of Consultancy on bespoke client briefs and strategic reviews
  • Collaborate with the wider research team to ensure consistency and depth across outputs
  • Help present findings internally and externally, enabling clients to understand market dynamics and opportunities
  • What we’re looking for:
  • A demonstrable interest in the housing market or data analysis
  • Advanced Excel skills with experience analysing complex datasets. Experience using database and analysis tools is desirable (e.g. SQL, MS Power BI, Fabric)
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex data clearly and persuasively
  • A problem-solving mindset with the ability to tailor analysis to different client needs
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • A degree in economics, maths, science, politics, or similar is preferred
