Delivery Lead

Job Description We are seeking a Delivery Lead to join our Group Technology team on an initial 5-month contract (Outside IR35). In this role, you will play a pivotal role in driving one of the largest CRM transformation initiatives within Connells Group.We offer a hybrid working arrangement with 1 or 2 days per week in our Milton Keynes office or Wakefield.Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead end-to-end delivery of the Group’s CRM transformation initiative, ensuring phased rollouts are delivered on time, within scope, and to agreed quality standards.
  • Coordinate cross-functional delivery teams, including product, engineering, QA, data, architecture, and supplier resources, to maintain alignment and drive progress.
  • Own the delivery roadmap, milestones, risks, dependencies, and RAID management, ensuring visibility and proactive issue resolution.
  • Act as the primary delivery interface between Connells Group Technology, estate agency brands, and external CRM supplier ensuring strong communication and alignment.
  • Support change and adoption planning, working closely with operational leads to minimise disruption and ensure branch-ready rollouts.
  • Ensure clear governance and reporting, providing weekly executive-level updates on delivery health, progress, risk, and readiness.
  • Maintain delivery discipline, including sprint/iteration planning, Kanban flow, backlog refinement, and release management depending on the workstream.
  • Drive dependency management across data migration, integrations, training, testing, and brand readiness.
  • Support supplier management, ensuring third-party delivery commitments, SLAs, and technical outcomes are met.
Experience and Skills Required:
  • Proven delivery leadership across large-scale transformation or CRM/platform implementations.
  • Strong technical delivery background, able to engage confidently with engineering, architecture, data, and vendor teams.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, including at senior and executive levels, with the ability to simplify complex issues.
  • Experience managing third-party suppliers, ensuring accountability, performance, and delivery to agreed milestones.
  • Commercially aware, with an ability to balance scope, cost, quality, and business readiness.
  • Experience in data migration, integration, or enterprise platform change (advantageous but not essential).
  • Resilient and calm under pressure, especially during rapid rollout phases or when managing competing priorities
  • Understanding of and experience with delivering in SAFe and agile frameworks such as Scrum or Kanban.
  • Experience of delivering change using tools such as Jira, Azure Dev Ops (ADO), GitHub, Jenkins or Octopus automated deployments.
  • Experience of delivering change across of Microsoft .NET, Microsoft SQL, and cloud Azure.
Qualifications:
  • Preferably educated to graduate level in an IT or software related engineering degree with experience in delivering change in agile software engineering environments.
